hey, no option for 90+ on the poll. once i bury the needle, i start watching the tach and don't usually push it past 2800rpms for any extended time. 82 350 turning 31's. doens't shake, but potholes at that speed are very unpleasant.

My k5 with the 6.2/sm465/4.88/36" tires tops out around 45:D maybe 50 downhill

with the 39" boggers I think it topped out around 60-65:D

I've had both my moms mustang(she doesn't look at ck5) and my K5 on a LONG hill comin home from shasta lake... had the mustang up to 130 going down it and the K5 at about 90. I can honestly say going 90 in a 88 k5 with a 6 inch lift and 35's was more fun than doing 130 in my moms mustang. I had real bad shakes at about 50 mph when i first bought it... drive shaft was too short and tires weren't balanced. I thought my truck was gonna split in half. LOL I got the driveshaft retubed/lengthened for 200 and had big o do a free balance job and now i can cruise at top speed with no vibration.

With my 6.2, 465 and 4.56's rolling on 39.5" TSL's I usually cruise at 60-65 mph. I've run it up to 80 mph but it does get some weird shakes there (tires have never been balanced) 50-55 is a lousy speed for my truck, that's where i get the tire shake. Once over 55 it smooths right out though.

With my 350 and 35's with 3.73's I managed 105 mph once. Not something I'd do again...it was actually pretty smooth, just not a good plan. There was so much wind resistance at that speed when I took my foot off the gas i alomst ate the steering wheel.

i have had mine up to 90mph (used the GPS to clock that). That is as fast as i would ever go. I usually just cruise at 70-75mph, its perty comfy whith a 700r4 and 308s, the motor turns just about 2200rpm whith 31s.

85's good - buck thirty is more fun but real loud!!!!! 33s 4:11s 5300 rpm :eek1:

Somewhere around 80 or 85.Without an accurate speedo I'm just ballparking it-66 Vette 427 running through a T350/203/4.10 combo with 37 MTR's gives me great highway gearing and those tires are the smoothest.I'm swapping my frontend and getting a Doubler and 40's but I'll keep the gears.Driving through town I'm only turning 1500 or so:)

70 tops it out

I had the same set up with the 305 and 308 gears. I couldn't deal with the 305 so I just dropped in a 350. I can get up to about 70 . But when I swapped the motor I forgot to hook up the tv cable from the tranny and lost my overdrive. Tach reads about 2800 so I usually just cruise around 55 or so. I have a set of 373 with some 38's but I don't feel like swapping the lift kits out. Maybe next month I'll get motivated

no idea... speedo hasn't worked in 2-3 years... and there have been lots of mods and way bigger tires since then. ;)

I have had my K20 up to about 95 without problems. Normally I cruise at about 65-75. I have 350, 700r4, 4.10 gears, 8 inch lift, 35's, stock style steering and no sway bar.
