Constant 12v source but I haven't checked the ground yet but I have my doubts that it's the ground. I think I may just fuse the feed and trigger with the ground given it has a ground

So I bought this '70 K5 and fell in the rabbit hole ever since. It was tired, a victim of someone's "perfume on a pig" restoration. Original 350/350.Paint is nice.
A manual switch is asking for a cooked engine unless it’s a dedicated track car IMO. Relays aren’t that complicated, just need to test your voltage and grounds and see where that leads you.
Yea it was really complicated to figure out how to even wire it. I hate the idea of manual fans but I think I can get away with the switched negative with a straight feed hopefully
I had a manual fan in my drag car, that was always fine because I had a bunch of switches anyway. Several years later I added switched fans in my k10 build and it was a mistake. After the rebuild and the addition of FiTech it’s been smooth sailing since it was triggered through the EFI. I can also disable the fans for river crossings through FiTech.
Yea Im actually happy with the fitech for now I don't want passive fans but I gotta actually diagnose it

All true! I still can't figure out what I want the truck to be from an expo rig, go fast/long travel, trail rig, beach cruiser I dunno it's nice enough to cruise but that's not why I got it I'd just hate to hack n chop it all up. I do however have some ideas so a cage is happening soon and I'd love to build the integral nerf/torsion box delete idea into play. We shall see if the covid19 doesn't kill us...
I have ordered a painless fan relay kit so I can divorce the fitech fan control idea
Here we go, pulled the intake. I've never seen gaskets get 100% saturated from coolant! 
Don't know what brand I used so I can't complain. Just so strange, there was coolant in the lifter Valley and burning the last time I started it to pull back in the shop.
Lots of right stuff and some Mr gasket.125 gaskets. Next I'll pull the cross member and do the pan. Diy4x detachable cmember goin back in. That should insure the main caps don't leak again

Oh I also ordered a set of corbeau low back buckets and a 1.125 die for my bender... 
Unfortunately the edelbrock etec heads only came vortec and I'm not a fan so far. Bright side the six times I've had to take the intake off I had way less bolts to take outHoly
Double check the intake gaskets, that's why I went to a Gen1 intake on my crate. Dual pattern heads. The vortec gaskets are wonky
Last time I'll have to take this pos out. Anyone want it? Poly mounts?
Anyway I've accepted defeat for the day. I can't get the "competition" engine mounts to line up... Trans mount is stock fig 8. I guess I'll try to walk the tail over hard driver...

make sure to keep all the bolts really lose until they’re all lined up with the frame and new mount. The old frames have moved around a lot in the past 40 years.
Yea I gotta loosen the frame plates. The others are still loose I hope there's enough play as they're off in opposite direction. That's why I was thinkin the tail shaft had to move over like 3-4". Unfortunately it's got all the necessary tcase mounts now and they weren't easy to install either haha. Well see how things go tomorrow

I started to reseal this pan, again... Goin back to a 4 piece gasket and "right stuff". Hope it works this time. Also add in another dipstick since the stroker crank counters wore into the stick a bit.
