can I install a floor shifter, if so give me all the details. and are they worth having
Yes you can B&M makes a real nice one for trucks I think there just cool and look nice but I dont have one but a few people on this site have them
do they do anything
I have not done this yet...but in the future it will be done... B&M megashifter. $232.00 from Napa, it will end te sloppieness of the colum shift, especially if you have to shift manually a bit...
i am just putting a B&M mega truck shifter in now.
they are a shifter and you also can ratchet shift it up or down with reverse lockout.
that's to much for that shifter i got mine from northern auto part's (1-800-831-0884) 173.71 total done deal to the door.
cool..thanks for the info... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I had a Heep with a fancy foor shifter. It looked cool and impressed the ladies but it was a pain in the ass to shift. IMHO there are times when you are wheeling that shifting quick and easy can save your bacon.
ie. Steep hill climb, loose traction slide back, how would you like to frig around reaching and pushing bottons and levers to get your rig into reverse. Also try rocking the truck with a floor shifter, hope you have longer arms than me!!
