I have one of these in the yard at my shop and was wondering (other than the lug pattern) if this axle would bolt in to my 86 Blazer chassis. The axle has 4.11 gears and it's a bit rusted, but otherwise, it's 100% D60.

I'm quite sure Ford spring spacing is wider than the K5.

Now, a DRW D60 rear.... hmmmm....

Do you know if its a factory dually axle or a SRW axle with dually wheels slapped on it?

If it is a dually D60, I'd guess its from a cut-away van (cubevan) and may be really wide - similar to a DRW pickup width.

It's an original Dually rear end from like a 78 Ford pick'em up truck.

By the way... i decided to do this swap on a Burb instead... already have one in the lineup... 1982 with no motor, likely no tranny, and if it's still there, a broken t-case. In my garage I have a 355, a SM465, and a NP208... though I wouldn't mind finding a 205 somewhere. =)

Ford didn't make a dually pickup in '78.

The cab & chassis used a Dana 70. Should have 40.5" spring spacing.

As I said before, maybe sombody slapped some DRW wheels on the more common SRW D60.

the few late 70's Ford F350 drw trucks I have seen have D70 rears. SRW is the same. However, the 4x4's got the D60 for some weird reason.

Then perhaps it's a 70... I know it's a Dana 1-ton axle out of a Ford, and I know it was a dually its whole life...
