Know anyone who has a sticky or problematic trunk latch? I have a replacement trunk latch assembly up for sale. This is a Ford OE part, got it while I worked at the dealership. Still brand new in the box. Believe it fits 2000-2004 model sedans.
Lists for $88 at the dealership, I am selling this one for $30 shipped. If nothing else, maybe you want to have a spare!
I've seen plenty of them fail and have the trunk stuck shut. Even perfected the method for breaking into the trunk from the back seat(not nearly as easy as you would hope!). So if you are having trouble or know someone who is, this is what you need!
