Anyone done this? I have the 60 and I have the 241 driver drop T-case out of a 88+ pickup.. i'm gonna get the SYE kit for it that will convert it to mech. speedo. i'm wondering if there are any snags I will run into when doing this...

what year ford axle and it sounds like a ll the correct parts. just see if the axle is the same center to center on leaf pads. it has been done before. and if you want convert to chevy outer knuckles and all parts and have gm brakes and stub shafts that are cheaper and easyer to get.

its an 85 SRW F350 kingpin axle.. aren't the dual piston brakes on it better than single piston brakes? and I don't care about "Ford" parts, it's DANA!.. everything good in fords is made by other companies!:D

Sorry to rain on your parade but that axle won't work for ya.

First thing, the spring pad span on that axle is 36.5" Chevy's are 32"

Second [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]pinion centerline to knuckle centerline is 3.5" closer to the drivers side than what you need. Or you'd have to run a double c/v shaft.http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/60_front/

What you need is a d60 from a 1978' or 79' ford.
