frames

Not a direct bolt-up, but that should be the easier direction.

The floor changed in '77, so a 73-77 expects the floor to be level all the way to the back of the seats.

The 78-91 is set up for a lower floor, all the way to the forward edge of the back seat.

You'd have to make a new crossmember for the middle there somewhere.

correct me if I am wrong but I think that there the same frames the only difference I ever notice is that the bumper brackets are not the same.

Correcting you. ;) Frames changed in '78. Early tub (73-77) on a newer frame is somewhat easy to do you just need to build a body mount crossmember for the inboard body mounts of the early tub.

Early tub on a newer frame requires some creative body channeling in the same area as the rise in the frame is further rearward to accomodate the footwell area of the later bodies.

bumper brackets were also different...but that's a pretty small deal comparitively.
