1/2 ton status
i have a 87 cc srw c2500 that im thinking of converting, but im curious about frame strength. will a 3/4 ton 2wd cc frame be to fragile? any good tech pages on frame dimensions? thanks..

Even tho it says 2500, the cc frames were still 1 ton frames. IIRC it's just the springs that are different.

Mostly the brakes. Ratings differ more from braking power than carrying power.
As mentioned, all crewcabs have the thicker, taller, narrower frame of the 1-ton, whether marked as 3/4 or 1t.
