Does anyone know if you can replace the front crank seal without removing the timing cover? If the cover has to come off to do the job, do I have to drop the oil pan as well? I have oil blowing all over the front of my engine from oil flying off the harmonic balancer into the fan. I have never done this before, and any help would be great. Thanks............

You should be able to do it, but it will be a little tricky to get the seal in there straight with the cover on the motor. If the balancer has a groove where the seal rides, buy the repair sleeve for it, or the new seal will leak too. You will need a puller for the balancer, and you should use an installer tool to put it back on.
