So my truck was pulling to the right whenever I had to brake hard, so I thought I might want to change out the old, rubber hoses with some new stainless steel ones.

After looking at the pads, it actually looks like the caliper was sticking and wore one of them all the way to about 5% remaining! Needless to say, I needed a brake job! Looked for receipts and found lifetime warranty for pads and calipers....sweet! Turned the rotors, replaced calipers and installed new pads. Good deal for $30 total (turn rotors for $15/ea).

Now, I still have the brake lines but they have some extra hanger on them.

Anyone install these and have some pics how to utilize the hanger? Instructions don't say anything specific. :(

Pic of the lines I bought...

i wish i could answer that question, i just looked at my RC lines and mine dont have that. Did changing your pads and shoes help with the pulling issue? ive started to notice mine doing that a little.

I'm sure it will resolve the problem. Just scrambling trying to get family off with suburban last night and finish up the truck.

I installed the lines last night without the bracket but had to add a twist so that the line wouldn't rub on the tire. I'll keep looking around the internet to see if I can use those brackets somewhere. I also was trying to pack the truck and bleed the brakes before everyone left....unfortunately I could only find a solid color tubing so it's hard to see how well fluid is coming out or not.

So, in the end, couldn't test last night because I don't think I was able to bleed the system all the way (in 10 degree weather).

I'll let you know if it does fix it though.....:pimp:

I think you got 88-up body style ifs lines by that bracket .

no biggy just remove it .

and not good to do a twist in a brake line . it can restrict flow . better to fip tie it back or some other form of restraint.

Now that everyone left, I'll re-look at it and see if I can get a little better routing. Thanks on the twist....went back and forth trying to decide last night, while trying to prep other car for Wife and Kid's trip the next day. Appreciate the help.
