Is it safe to jack up on the lower control arm? I just want to raise the passenger front without causing any damage to the vehicle.

2 or 4 wheel drive?

I lift the Avy under the engine crossmember, With the smaller made control arms, I'm not taking chances on bending or screwing something up.

Yeah it takes a bit more to lift and relieve suspension compression, but it's also a nice big platform for the jack plate to sit on.

Actually, I don't think it's the engine crossmember, but the one towards the front, I guess it would be the core support. It's a bit beefier than the older trucks it seems.

I lift my 05 from the front suspension crossmember or the frame behind the front tire.

Yes you can lift it by the lower arm. The plastic skid plate is kinda in the way of the crossmember

the correct way to even check ball joints is to lift the lower control arm to hold the weight on the suspension . then you put a bar inder the tires and pry up and check for play .

so yes you can lift there if you need to . just done leave it sitting on there and work on the ride as the angle of the a-arm can make the jack or stand slide out . support the vehicle via the frame for best results. :thumb:
