Front Tow Hooks - Which way do they Face ?

Currently in restoration and just had the tow hooks chromed plated ... It has been months since body shop removed the tow hooks and now they are ready to reinstall the bumpers, front valance, and tow hooks ...

Trying to remember do they point inward towards the engine or outward towards the the wheels.

All help is greatly appreciated .. pictures would be wonderful.

Open part of the hook should face to the back of the truck.

Agreed .. but which way should they go .. i.e. both sides with the curve going inward or outward while pointing backwards

The curved part faces inwards to the center of the truck. Here's a pic from a factory brochure:
