In all fairness Edelbrock says 1/2 for 4x4 which I find bs. If you need to trouble shoot or repair one of these, use the old carter carburetors literature
You want them to be low enough they don't overflow and high enough you don't starve the engine at full throttle.Originally they were maybe 3/8 or less. floats were sitting level if that makes sense.
I set them to 7/16th. Should I stick with that?

I would say try it at a slight downward angle to compensate for the hill you park on.So... What do I do? Keep lowering until it starves at full throttle and then raise it up until the starvation stops?
