On my K20 I have the dual 22(the big ones) sidesaddle tanks.
I am always worried about piercing one of them on the trail- so I am going to make skid plates soon.
But I was wondering about the idea of putting something like do-it-yourself bedline on them to make them last longer.
Has anyone done this or have thoughts on it.

i was blessed with one gas tank on the drivers side, under me, what i did was took the old plasitc skid plate off and drilled holes in it for drainage purposes, then i took some big rig mud flaps, cut them to make another barrier under the front of the rear left wheel well and another infront of the gas tank, under the plastic gard for the parking break cable, and let it droop down so no mud gets clobbeed in ther by the tire, works well. yea id weld up some skid plates for your tanks, and rust proff them with that bed liners stuff/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
