My drivers door has been ratteling due to the fact that the door stud is worn from shutting the door so much (1979 original) You can buy the new studs for about 8.00 each from numerous places, but I just haven't got around to getting some. What I did do was to take a 50 torx and remove the driver and passenger stubs and switched sides. This placed the wear spots on the stubs in the oposite location (from top to bottom) and now both doors shut tight. This was a 5 min fix that should get my by for now.

If you want nice closing doors replace the nylon bushing that goes over the door strikers...and re-bush the door pins in the hinge assemblies. Then adjust the door. You'd be amazed how nicely these doors will open and close!/forums/images/icons/cool.gif
