The 20 amp fuse for my gauges keeps blowing out. As soon as a new one goes it, and I start the truck it goes. So I have no gauges aside from the speedo. Ideas? My brake lights aren't working either now. When I turn the lights on they come on, but when i step on the brakes it doesn't light up. The fuse is fine. Brake switch maybe? Where is the brake switch. I havn't gotten a manual yet. Thanks all.

All of this might be from the same problem. First thing to check is to see what all is on that circuit. I would check your wires for the license plate and the trailer hook up wires. Sometimes these get crushed out wheelin and can cause stuff like this. What was the last thing you did before this problem presented itself? Mayeb you did something around that area to cause this. The brake light issue might be the lil round or square 'flasher box' that plugs into your fuse block. They are cheap and easy to replace. Let us know what you find out.

My alt was getting weak, and then my gauges died out. Drove around like this for a month or so. Last thing I did electrically was putting a tach in. I hooked it up to the light switch. So when I turn the headlights on the tach light comes on too. I replaced the alt yesturday. None of the gauges came back. I put a 400 watt amp in the truck before the old alt died. I've looked it over a few times and it's in there right. I'll try fiddling with the tach wires.

What about the brake lights? The lil box on the fuse block that clicks when the flashers are on?

When the turn signal is on I can hear and feel the flasher on the fuse block. I didn't know the flasher controller the brake lights too? What about the little block to the right side of the steering column? There's a flasher over there too. Which I don't hear, or feel it doing anything. On the same block is a little box and gibber black box. I also tried disconcting my wire hook up the light switch for my tach, and nothing changed.
