I am looking for an overdrive set up for a Turbo 400. Thanks
I have one on my Burban. You do know that they cost like $2200-$2500 new right?
Yes I do, that is why I am looking for a used one /forums/images/icons/smile.gif How do you like the one you have? What type of results have you received?
87 Suburban 3/4 ton Silverado 4x4
6.5L Diesel w/ Banks Turbo & exhaust
TH400 NP208 GV Overdrive and 4.10 gears
I use it to tow (usually parts trucks) and can tow in overdrive with no problem or worries of burnin the tranny up. The OD bolts to the back of the t-case so you can't use it in 4WD. No biggie. It has stock size tires, that's why the original owner put the OD in. Even in OD it screams on the highway. It only gets 14MPG. I'm thinking of running 33's to get the RPM's down further. Or maybe 35's and take the OD out.
Very few people can afford $2500 for the GV, so those that have it, probably won't part with it. Good luck though. It's worth it in my opinion.
