Hey guys iI have a 78 blazer 4x4 it has a 5.7 v8 with 38.5 mud boggers.
I am not sure on what gearing it currently has or trans (probaly a 350) I think it has a 205 t case. It has a hard time making it up to highway speeds and up hills, it has to slow down in order to drop a gear then the power kicks back in. What gearing do you recommend and is it hard to do? Maybee a weekend project? also will the front have to be done at the same time as the back? Thanks Guys:ears:

you do have to do both axles at the same time or it will bind up in the driveline and break something. If you have 1/2 ton axles its a PITA unless you really understand what your getting into, for the first time you almost have to have somebody who is familiar with this operation help you and even then its gonna be a long weekend, I would go with 4.88's
