How is a manual swich better and how is it done?
First, fill out your bio so the rest of us know what kind of truck (6.2) we're dealing with. If it's a CUCV (as your other post eludes to) forget the manual switch. CUCVs have a unique glow plug system, different from all the civilian models. The glow plugs (13Gs I believe) cycle an extra long time. The only benifit of a manual switch is being able to activate the plugs if your controller fails, possible but not as probable as some other common (CUCV) failures. Search the archives for previous rants.
Real trucks don't have spark plugs!
