Gm 10 bolt or dana 60

i found a truck pretty cheap the other day for a grand with 38's and wat not he tells me its a dana 60 and he has bought parts for a dana 60 for it but after i looked at it looks like a 8 lug 10 bolt i need a lil help

but for a 1000 its got 14b ff in the rear ramsy 12000lbs on the front np208, sm465, 350, 38 tsl's
 
o i will but ima just strip everything off of it and put it on my 87, but heres a good one , wats stronger dana 44 or gm 10 bolt?>
 
No real strength benefit to either over the other . I'd use the 10 bolt because there are more years of trucks to pick parts off of .
 
Just make sure you count the splines on the 10bolt axleshafts before you go out looking for spares. There are 2 counts, 28 and 30 splines. 81-87 has 28, 88-91 has 30.
Just giving you a heads up, I had a bit of trouble looking for the correct ones for my 90.

I think that setup will be fine, I'm running the same setup.
