GM 60 or HP60??

What yr/truck model did yours come from?

I have a 78-79 that has the same pad width as a GM 60.About 3-4 years ago I rounded up a bunch of good stuff to build a rock rig Blazer, you know the works like ORD Doubler(GM to Ford) ARB,new R&P,new inner axleshafts,35spline stubs etc.etc.
Then had to walk away from the project to deal with other things,so now I have all this stuff but going to use a LoMax 205 that has a passenger side drop because there just aint no rock here to climb:mad: and I dont need 4:1 low range!

If you can find the early HP go ahead and just swap tubes but it has about a 1" inboard offset compared to the GM 60 but will have enough clearance.

Using the later Kingpin HP housing will requirer making the long tube short and mounting your outter "C" to it and then removing the plug welds on the other side and getting either a new long tube or a Donor housing which is what I am doing, those pictures are my donor that I have robbed the tube from.
