My 2012 has the newer HD 8 on 180mm bolt pattern on it. I want to do a SAS later on but I'd like to keep my ABS and stabilitrack. Fortunately, Dodge and Ford axles have the same tone rings and ABS sensors as Chevy uses on their IFS wheel hubs so there is no trouble interfacing them. But my rear diff will no longer match the bolt pattern of the front so it needs to either be swapped to an 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern or replaced with an older AAM 11.5.

Before Chevy made the switch to 8 on 180mm in 2011, did the stabilitrack equipped trucks have ABS sensors on each wheel of the rear axle? The Ram and Ford rear axles only have a single speed sensor on the ring gear in the rear axle and are not compatible with modern Chevy ABS. Anyone here have a newer DD with an AAM 11.5, Stabilitrack and the older 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern who could confirm that GM does have a wheel sensor at each wheel like the newer axles do?

I just looked at gm's service information and it appears that a 2010 3/4 has a speed sensor at each wheel on the rear, although it does not specify if that is an AAM 11.5 or 14 bolt. I can take a look at my 07.5 dmax later and see what that has.

My truck has no speed sensors on the rear end but it doesn't have traction control. I'm thinking traction control and stabilitrack was introduced on the 3/4 tons in 11 with the new bolt pattern.

That could very well be the case which means that my option then would be to convert the front to 8 on 180mm instead. That could be done with a custom flange made for the Dodge unit bearing.

I thought the newer Fords had the goofy damn Metric pattern as well. I think it's only Dodge that still uses the old 8 on 6.5.

You can simply redrill the bolt pattern into a 8X6.5 hub, or if it's unit bearing you probably can just buy a different pattern unit bearing. Hell I bet someone out there has a standard D-60 hub with the metric pattern in it already. I know spidertrax has been doing alot of stuff with unit bearings and bolt patterns for years.

Not sure if it helps but, I picked up a Dana70"S" out of a 2004 Chevy 3500 Express Van and it has the tone rings and sensors at the hubs. It also has 8X6.5 spacing but uses the metric wheel studs. I can get some pics of it for you but it will be a few weeks before I get home.
