So, I wanna pull the top soon, I would like to know if the seal is gonna leak when I put it back on? If it doesn't, Where can I buy a new seal, and how much $? I checked the LMC catalog but couldn't find it in there! So, I would really like a reply, cause I don't want water in it when I put it back on for the rain! Thanks a lot!

It should NOT leak when you put the top back on..I have never had a problem with mine..I have taken off the tops many times...

A guy gave me a hard top with sliding windows. It was sitting in his back yard for 2 yrs. Sprayed the seal with silicone, put the top on, no leaks.

this was the first time that it has been off in a while and just make sure that you don't rip the seal....as you can see mine broke(but was leaking any way)

When you take off the top put the seal in a bucket of
soapy water it will help it be my plyable for when you
put it back on thus no leaks

HEY Fords!!! how many flushes does it
take to get rid of you

Would love to see more pictures from different angles. Sure is tempting - just a little chicken cause I'm in rainy Oregon.

I'm in Oregon too. I am not going to pull the top until I get my license in July. But when I do, it will be time to find some chicks and crank the system!! I wanna do a roll cage when I take the top off, so I am designing one pretty soon. GOnna do it all myself!

mines been off a couple of times already and the seals seams to be fine i took a little vaciline and rubbed down the seal to keep it soft and it hasnt leaked yet 80 yesterday 85 today in seattle were a shirt i learned oweeeeeeee.

One thing no one has mentioned yet is that when you put your top back on you must tighten the cab-top bolts before the top-bedrail bolts for a good seal.

Also if the top has never been removed there are two bolts, one on each side that are hidden behind the side panels. Just bend the panels out of the way remove the bolts and don't put them back later so you won't have to take the panels off again.

The whole process of taking the top off only takes me about 10 min. most of it is just handling the top myself. If I had someone to help me it would probably be only about 5 min.

All this info is true for my 86K5, I don't think it should be that much different for your 77.

If your looking atthe LMC catalog with the red/black truck on the cover. You can find the seal on page 13 part#14.
Good luck
