gonna look at a np241

What should i look for? its out on an 89, mechanical speedo passenger side drop. Never looked at buying a transfercase before. help?

Lol theres really not much to look at. I believe the common issue spot for 208s/241s is the front output getting a groove in it from the seal.

Shift it and make sure it works lol...

I'd be sure to check the whole thing over for hair line cracks, doesn't take much on cast aluminum, I had mine crack at the end of the rear output cover where the seal goes in. Also check around all the bolt holes.

The yoke can get a groove in it from where the seal sits on it and cause a leak.
