The front axle isn't going to last very long with those tires if it is wheeled hard. If it runs and drives, offer him $1000.

that was my thought if the frame is rusting badly im just gonna walk

I ran 38s on a blazer for a while with a 10 bolt. If you keep it open you'll be fine. I broke a couple hubs in 3 years of wheeling like that.

But I'd offer a grand too.

I had 38s on a 10 bolt with a 203, open diff. Didn't wheel in rocks, but I never broke it either.....

Some reason I couldn't keep a rear end in it?

How are the blazers as far as hidden body rust goes? I ask this hoping people more knowledgeable than me about them will chime and may help in your decision

Check door frames under where the drip rails are. In blazers where the foot drops down right before the backseat. That corner right there. Those are the worst hidden spots I've seen. But I don't live in the rust belt

Tailpan at the gate is another bad spot on blazers.

@beags86 mine had a 203 too 4.10 gears and 38s + a th350 meant I rarely had enough reduction to put much stress on the front end. Sometimes it would just sit and rev on the converter

I never had crazy good mud tires, mud terrains or a set of old worn out ground hawgs, I got stuck. Or I over heated my trans and blew it up. Then, if i didn't get stuck or overheat my t350 my rear end would puke. But the idea of a 10 bolt with a 38 never surviving just isn't true. But I credit alot to the 203 running in 4wd all the time taking stress and putting back to the rear tires. :dunno:
Hardcore rockcrawling... Maybe not..

I run em through highway petrol and make sure cause you never know..
They know where the hidden Vins are

I don't buy without titles before checking with dmv on the owner on record.
If it is the same and no back fee then I buy.
Lost title here is $15 or at least used to be.
I know fees have gone up but can't be more than $30

No title, no deal. Even if I wanted to part it when it came time to scrap I’d have to chop it all up and I ain’t got time for that nonsense
