at least new to me 01 duramax diesel
i like it!
CK5 Martin #3 agrees
You'll love it. I just bought an '04 crew a few months ago, first diesel, it's great.
You'll also like the +/- 600 miles on a full tank!
I love duramax's, just as long as they aren't the LB7 from 01-04.5.
LLY's and LBZ's are where it's at.
I do like the wheels though.
sweet looking truck, what ya get it for if I may ask.
WHY??? The LB7 is putting down some of the best numbers, the LLY is just starting to make the same power in the aftermarket world.
Sweet truck man!
I would assume, since Ryan is/was a GM tech., the LB7 is technically more difficult to work on, than the newer LLY/LBZ. I would
guess that's how the opinion was formed, but I could be wrong.
LB7 is where its at IMHO..
And to Cody... sweet truck!
Yep thats why. 8 hours to swap injectors.....Probably could've gotten better at it, but we only had a handfull of trucks to service.
The power potential will be there with the newer engines, there just aren't as many out there.
But I work on International engines now.
We just got an 06 lbz work truck and it is only managing 11-12 mpg never above 3000 rpm trying to stretch the gas out, might be the ladder rack, its fast though
I HATE YOU!!!
oh, and nice truck... Remember, jeaplousy is not a pretty thing.
Sweet rig man, my dad and I took his shop truck for a spin the other day, a Duramax/Allison combo that was killer. It was pulling a trailer (for the first part of the play time) and he got into it going up a hill to get onto the freeway and it was chirpin' the rears. That Allison can put it down hard.
i got it for 20,500 i traded my 97 k2500 in on it. yeah it came with brand new bfgs and h2 rims with chevy center caps.
