Governed vs. Non-Gov. TPS

The parts stores have an option for the throttle position sensor: Electronic Governor or Without. They look incredibly alike.

What would the difference in the TPS be between the two :confused:

On a side note, I'm pretty sure the governor is a programmed thing in the PROM - mine is aftermarket (Whipple) and is not governed anymore.
 
I have no idea. Are they actually different part numbers?

I would take an ohmmeter to both of them to see how they compare to the one you are replacing. I have heard of some TPS being backwards from others on GMs. For some reason, they don't always get a different connector. If you had one that was backwards, all you would have to do is back two terminals out of the connector and swap their locations.
