im working on my friend's 91 fullsize - ill post pictures of it pretty soon its a sweet rig. im installing a tach on it, and behind the air cleaner (location of the green wire for my '87 suburban) i found a green wire similar to the one on my old truck but it had two wires on it, with a plug on the end of it plugged into a wire that only had one wire on it. the double wires are both green and go down into the wiring harness it looks like, and the single green wire goes up to a smaller harness towards the left side of the truck. i slid the tach green wire into both plugs and nothing happened:confused:. is this the right green wire?

i can take a picture of the wires if it helps at all.

thanks

On a 91 blazer there will be a white wire off the coil that isn't hooked to anything, that is for the tach signal which is your green wire from your tach. Make sure the red wire from the tach is hooked to a keyed hot and not a constant hot.

yep.what he said ^^.beat me to it.it said "tach" on the distributor cap on my hei dizzy but im not sure what your 91 has.should hook up red, keyedpos, black to ground, green to distributor, and white if it has it to the dimmer switch or power source when you turn on the dash lights.
