Guys with the 8.1

I had an '01 when they 1st came out in the crew cab, truck was great. The milage (10) is why I sold it for duramax. In a truck the 8.1 only come with an allison. They cost 4 to 5 grand to rebuild. They are only good up to 375 rwhp stock after that they will slip and burn the cluchtes up. I spent about $2500.00 on the allison in my 07, when it was new to hold the extra power form EFI Live out of the duramax.

yeah i was gonna use it more as a dd and a every once in awhile hauler. it would be great for towing the blazer and hauling the cattle and hay but i would only do that about a dozen times a year and dad has a DMax for that

its the LT with sun roof and dvd with low low miles and that was what caught my attention i love a comfy ride and lots of electronics in my dd trucks so thats what caught my attention.

not in my county but i dont wanna do anything to it that may come to haunt me later if i do move and have to pass emissions

aint settled down yet in my life to honestly say im gonna be here for awhile

not yet, im still stuck in louisiana, will get to go back to colorado in about a week so then i will look at it.
