I'm going to run 44/18.5in. tires on stock width H1 wheels. Now my question is can I cut down the magnesium runflats and not have a problem or should I look at aftermarket beadlock inserts? USA6x6 sells theirs for $40 each but that seems kinda high for what they are. Anyone else sell some cheaper?

sorry to say I think USA6x6 is the cheapest going for runflats.

They aren't just straight cut pieces. The edges are beveled for som reason I forget, haha.

I don't really want to, but I am buying my rim centers and runflats from USA 6x6, they simply have the best cheapest thing going.

im going to cut mags down for my 42's when i get them, i just dont trust 6x6

Ok so if I do this I should be fine with 44's? ie. I heard you have to 'narrow' the insert for use with tires w/ larger beads.

i thought u just had to cut them down like u have them there? i remember reading on billavista bout an issue. he said that some people had said there were issues, but he didnt experience any issues.

With my 39.5" IROKS I did not need to modify the width of the inserts on 4 of them. The 5th tire for some reason did not like going together. Someday I will get PVC inserts and sell my mags.
I have heard that with all the bigger Interco's you need PVC's or to modify the mags.

In the back of my truck I'm running 44/18.5in. Ground Hawgs on some 16.5/10 steel wheels and I havn't disassembled them yet but I think they have larger beads like the big swampers. If anyone has tried mag runflats with 44in. ground hawgs lemme know.. I may just get some inserts from USA6x6 and be done with it.

post up some pics if you got any. are the 44 hawgs the same size as the 42 tsls?

My buddy had 44in Gumbos and 42in TSLs side by side and said they are identical in height. Rim width is a factor but I'll be running both on 8.25in. wide hummers so they should be the same height. The Hawgs measure 41.5in. with a little over half tread. Picked them up for $250 on steel wheels, I couldn't pass that up! The 42s were like $800 just for the two tires from tyres international. They should be here in a few days. Maybe I will take a few pics when all is mounted.:p:

beater, you get them pics? :)
No, I'm still waiting on my USA 6x6 wheels to come in. Also waiting on a guy to trade me his DRW hubs so I can run my stock H1's in the front. Hopefully this chit will be together soon because I'm about sick of running around with 44's in the back and 31's in the front :eek1: My yota dd is currently inop.

And BTW Boz, your blazer is badass.:D

I found these pictures on here but for the life of me cannot locate the thread. Anyone know whos these are? I think these are all from the same person.

Does anyone have pictures of a 44's on h1's on a SRW front axle no spacers at full lock? Wondering what angle the front wheels would be at before hitting the frame/leaf springs? Thanks.

thosea are recenter h1 rims and usa 6x6 inserts.

I bought the usa 6x6 inserts, and new seals from them..

I kid you not I called, took forever to get someone to answer the phone, then someone does and they are yelling all over the place and I hear goofing off in the back round..

then I ask by part while on the website and the guy has to have me explain to him what they are as if he has never heard of them before..no joke

at this point i m floored because I ASSUME alot of people order these..I aslo would ASSUME if you worked there you are mechanicly inclined and have some insight as to what products are carried and what they are for. I could not believe it.. 3.5 weeks later I get a product that wwas on the shelf and in stock. I did not want to order from them but they had what I needed at a fair price and it worked like a charm. well worth it. the scary part is I am still missing 2 wheel studs for the rim so I am calling tomarrow..we shall see how loing it takes:crazy:

When did you place the order. I have been waiting for 5 weeks as of yesterday. Called last week and Heather told me they were out of centers for whoever makes them for them. They said they shoud have them with week though.

I'm running the same thing with my 42s. No problems. I just cut the "backbone" off of the mag.

Here is a write up I did on recentering and installing inserts.
