4xcrazy said:
don't forget to price the tires you want too, i didn't do this before i got the rims, and wow!:eek1: was i suprised at the cost of just the 315/70/17 BFG's

If i remember, i believe i spent close to $300 for one tire, out the door, M/B with warranty.

im gona go with 42" iroks, prices shouldnt be that much different

Saw an ad on the Phoenix Craigslist recently of someone selling a set of almost new H2 tires for $500 and they were throwing in the wheels for FREE.

finally got my tires mounted today, got the gears set up. in the morning we'll try to get the rear into the truck, gonna be cool to drive it again, been broken almost a month now. can't wait to see the new wheels on it

4xcrazy, I really don't think that a 315/75 BFG M/T is availiable for a 17" rim.

I have them on my H2 rims now and they are labeled 35x12.5r17s........not metric.

will these fit a dana 60, or will I have to hone out the centers? found a set I need to go look at this week.

........I know that 315s are metric equivalent to 35". I'm refering to M/Ts

If you'll notice that BFG M/Ts in a 16" rim BFG only offers 315/75 and in a 17" rim they only offer 35" x 12.5". Understand what I'm saying.

looks like they are different numbered from the A/T's and M/T's think that's the difference. Didn't look at the M/T's as i had a set on once, and really didn't care for the ride quality and noise:crazy:

H2 wheels

I'm picking up a set this weekend since 16.5" rim size tires are getting harder to find. :)

Nice thread dredge. You won't regret it, they look sweet. There's a link to pics in my sig.

The only real thing I don't care for with the H2's is their deeper offset, it gives the truck a slightly weird track look, like a train with their narrow wheel tracks.

I like the look of the wheels, especially the (I believe) 2nd gen design of them that I have now, but I liked the track of the steelies I had on several years back that were 3.75" backspaced. Gave the truck a slightly more aggressive, off road looking,,look to it.

That red suburban is soooooo awesome. Never seen one I liked better.

There are still great deals on those h2 special edition wheels if anyone likes the chrome look. I'm nothing but happy with my set.

I found a set on Craigslist the other day for $500. I just wanted the wheels, and the tires in the picture he posted looked bald. I emailed the seller, and he said that was just a picture he found on the internet. Not his actual tires. He told me his tires were in pretty good shape.

I went to look at them, and they were brand new takes offs that had been sitting in a shed for several years. The guy forgot he even had them and had sold the Hummer they came off of. They still had rubber webbing between the tread blocks.
