I asked my friend about the repro of the rear panel he said it can be done but it may need to be shiped to california since that is where the main bussiness is. Im going to check into having it done here so I dont have to ship it away.

Thanks for the info. If it is to much truble though you dont have to ship it to cali.. Thanks though. But if you can get it done near you deff. let me know man.. thanks.

Well I got all my stuff from AM Russo (thanks). Talk about a heck of a trip maryland to masachussetts(sp) and back in one day.(left at 5:00 am got home at 11:00 pm.) But It was worth it.

Unfortunatly I started gutting the rear interior panels and when I was removing the lower seat belt mount carpet peices I ran in to a problem. I tried to tear the carpet off and ended up ripping the whole mount out of the side of the truck(on both sides.) thats what I get for a free truck.) So I spent a weekend patching the rear footwells so I could put in my conversion. and do it right the first time. I ended up using the front panel out of an 79 chevy bed (cut down of course) and welded it in between the parts where the seatbelt mounts.

Then I had to fill a 6 in by 4 ft whole where there was no floor to mount too.

Its all welded except where there was rust cause I didnt want to cut throught the rust metal with the welder. It turned out alright I guess. This weekend Im going to be running seam sealer every where and bolting the roll bar down. In a couple of months I will probably try to repair the rear floor so I can run a pickup tailgate. The blazer gate won't work because of the roll bar. But the truck gate will work perfect.

(just wish that it wasnt so rusted out back there.)

You're doing a really good job. That's great for a free truck. Loose the hubcaps though, lol.
