Has anyone installed the Iceburg Alternator Kit? Is it worth it?

I did a search on this, and did not see any feedback of anyone who has actually done this. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif I am interested in the kit, since it seems an affordable way to increase AMPS, plus replace the brushes/bearings in my stock alternator. I have a 87 K5 w/350 engine.
    Thanks!

I tried the kit on a CJ-5 a few years ago...In my opinion I'd never do it again. It did not give me the extra promised amps, and it was a royal pain. With the Blazer, I just replaced the alternater with a summit 140 amp for $160.00. Quick, easy and painless!
If you do go with the Iceburg...Good luck to you...I've heard alot of good and bad comments from ppl that have used them. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
