HD Bumpers for 91 blazer

I was not trying to be a dick, trying to help, sometimes the internet makes that tough :thumb:

A search here will give you everything you need. Being you're not a paid member here, search google with: *whateveryouwant site: coloradok5.com* (without the asterisks).

There are many varying levels of cutting the fenders, I simply cut the rust out of mine and fit 37's easily with a 4" lift.

Thanks 38377k5 for the help and I didn't mind the info. on responding. I will get better at this as time goes by. I still need to finish the disk brake conversion set up I started recently but have to find out what to do with the ABS that came on my 91 blazer. I need to get front bumper and winch and rear bumper with tire rack, tires, some body work in regards to painting and fender trimming and want to do some power improvements to the 350 tbi so I will be looking for a lot of advice with all of this. I plan on becoming a paid member soon but I recently lost my job after working for this company for 30+ years so money is tight but I will need to join if I plan on getting this much advice. Anyway thanks to all and I will check this thread for any more advice Monday morning as it is 1:49 AM here and my wife is screaming for me to get off the pc.:waytogo:

closing up the doors at the end of the month.. or he just did...

Im running 39.5 tsl on a 15x12 with superlift 8" springs one of which is saging
at least an inch and a one inch body with a slight trim

This is my DIY4X front winch bumper, only weighs in at 20lbs more than all the original stock bumper and brackets and tow hooks I took off, without the winch of course. No noticeable suspension height difference with the stock springs, again this is without winch.

Fender trimming is easy. In front of the front tire, bumper off, start at the bottom of the lower filler panel (below the grill) and draw a line straight back to the wheel opening and cut off the lower "fang". You can see in the pics where it was cut off.
In back of the front tire is where people do different things. I started at the inner fender and drew a horizontal line from the bottom of the lowest mounting bolt in towards the frame, this is about just below the bodyside molding height, and cut off the lower rear portion of the inner fender. After that I marked one point just below the bodyside molding and at the bottom of the fender one point about 3.5" to 4" back from the wheel opening on the lower seam. Drew a diagonalish line to connect the 2 points and cut out that triangle. I then cut out the inner portion of the fender to match. You can kinda see in the pics where the wheel opening molding ends and the lower part of the fender "opens up", but I don't have any other pics right now. I used an air powered 3" cut off tool.

If you are working on a rear disc brake conversion, then I do not think that you do not need to do anything with the "ABS". The system does not use any speed sensors on the rear, just pulses the pressure.

You don't need to do anything with the ABS. As for tire size, I ran 37's on a 3" TC lift for years with just a little fender trimming.

I also run 37's on a 3" lift with some trimming. Had a beefy ORD front bumper on with a 9500ti winch and no noticeable drop in frontend height. It's on my buddy's trailer in this pic but, this is about the best pic I have to show the amount of trimming with the truck fully assembled. It's in pieces now though.
