Hi all,

First post to the site. Total noob so please be gentle.

Just picked up a 1970 K5, trying to fix interior door panels. Prior owner had them held up (barely) with screws that don't fit/hold. I have ordered the correct replacement screws from LMC Truck, but wasn't sure what they screw into. Are there inserts to go into the holes on the door in order to hold the panels in place? Thanks for the help and, again, sorry for what I am sure is an obvious question/answer.

LMC does not show door panels for 70 models. Got pictures to show.

I have found the trucks have nut inserts in the door. The top is held by a channel which is held on by screws, then the bottom of the door panel is held with screws going directly through the panel. I would guess that the K5 is the same. If there aren't threads in the holes, you may have '72 doors which used plastic push clips. (Christmas tree style)
