Help in Austin Texas! Welding!

Seeking help in Austin! I have a 73 K5 i am restoring and need help with a very simple weld on the starter mount. (i.e. the starter mount has a hairline crack and needs to be welded) Can't move truck, but have 220V within 3 feet of her front clip for welder. Any suggestions or reff /forums/images/graemlins/k5.giferals appreciated.

It's too bad you can't move her! I'd weld it for a pack of beer, but I'm not going to Austin anytime soon! Let me know if something changes! /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Welding on the block is no easy task...special rod, lots of experience and prep work too. Call a pro.

i agree with trusty. call a professional. it'll prob cost $50 an hour but he'll do a better job.
