I have searched and searched some more but haven't really come up with a good idea. Since its a pickup cab and not the blazer body i don't have the rear body mount behind the rocker to attach anything to. Everything i also read says not to attach to the frame. I don't have a rear bed to protect so just worried about the area under the doors really. Any help would be apprecieated...Thanks

Who says not to attach to frame?

These are hand built, of course, not something bought. They also support part of my full roll cage. They are attached to the frame opposite the cross members to eliminate the torsional effect and gives excellent stability. Welded.

Cutting the rockers out is no problem, that's what i have been looking at the most, just don't seem to have much to attach anything to. As far as coming off the frame i don't have names that say not to attach to the frame but from the searching i have done it's said to be a bad idea.

one idea I am looking into for my truck is a a plate attached to a 2x2 piece of rectangle steel.

picture kind of like a fly swatter where the 2x2 would lead away from the rock slider and have spreader plates on the sides. Just load it up with some 3/8 bolts or some plug welds. Having the 2x6 or 2x3 in place of the rocker is very strong in itself. All you need to do is spread the load out over a large surface that wont deflect/bend/kink

something like this

Currently i jack up my white truck off my factory rocker all the time with a high lift and it has not deflected or pinched the metal all that bad.

Small Hijack, 73K5, do youhave a build thread on that rear bumper? Looks great and very similar to what I'd like to build. If not do yo have a handfullof close up pics to psot somewhere? Also, begining to really like the H2 rims on our rigs too. Thanks
