Back from the dead.
Where's the bayonet???? We can't go raiding Pirate 4X4, ifn ya aint got no bayonet!
Does it have the flip up rear sight?
Looks like its in very good shape. How did the bore cleaning go
The JB paste worked really good. The barrel does have some minor pitting from corrosive ammo though. From from what I've researched the muzzle end is far more important on the .303, the barrel pitting has to be extreme to effect it. This is the Longbranch with the 2 slot rifling and 300/600 yard flip sights.
The Kroil ......man I love that stuff. Oiled it up, amazed at the gunk I got out from the firing pin. I also had to shim the fore stock but it all tightened up nicely.
I'm stoked, just waiting on a butt plate. Should be here in time. Gunnison - here I come.
No bayonet yet, I'd prolly poke my eye out.
My dad has my great grandfathers 303, I'll take some pics of it this weekend. All original I love shooting that gun!!!
Skool me please...PM me...
