well i talked to a few county mounties today in town and asked them what they thought about running the exhaust out of the hood of my truck. well to say the least i was suprized they said " theres only one cop in this town that cares about exhaust and he never leaves the station so i would say your all good" well i was shocked. my question is, is there any specific type of zoomie to run on a naturally asprirated engine?

Um, the local fuzz isn't the only fuzz. There's still sheriff and state highway patrol;)

well i usually run just back roads just because its easyier and it would just be my weekend driver for fun and wheelin. i have never really hade any problems about state sherrifes here and ky doesnt have any highway patrol but yea i know what you mean i just love the look for the pulling trucks with zoomies coming out of the hood

as soon as people start complaining, those cops who dont care will suddenly have to care.

Stick them on a stock engine and you'll be burning the valves up. But do it anyways and make sure you shoot vids of it and post them up here or on YouTube. Always fun to watch and listen to loud stuff.

:haha::haha::haha:

I love the truck pull look for headers, I just don't see a practical street use for them....If you want to run em, run em though.:D

this is what I think of with Zoomie Headers:

A lot of guy run either zoomies or open headers around here at the bogs. Not on the street though. Couldnt get away with it.

The nice part about them.... gets the exhaust up and out of the water.

Guys run them on stock motors all the time too.

one of the guys i saw had headers normal then the tube made a 180 straight up so he had more pipe to play with and put a glass pack at the top. what about that around your area. been a while dont remember how it was all put together but it was something like that.
also would exhaust be a problem while going down the road, like going in your cab?

I picked up 2 sets of "zoomies" while working at Firebird, tossed in the scrap pile,, Pauly383 has one set now and i have the other, figured they'd male good garage wall decorations. :D

There was a nice 4x4 truck like mine running around here a few summers ago,that had a 350,the guy put center dump stock exhaust manifolds on it upside down,and cut out his hood where they exited on both sides..bolted a pair of "purple hornies" glass packs directly to the 3 bolt flange,and put those "flapper" rain caps on them to keep rain out..he drove it all over the place,mostly to car shows on weekends,and he said he did get pulled over a few times by anal cops,but none wrote him up,they just told him it wasn't "street legal"...said he was more worried about "obstructed vision" than the noise,really..they actually sounded pretty mellow,and seeing flames shoot out at night was real cool!..
