I'm looking at a Holley 750 (3310) vacuum secondary carb for my 454. It's running 9.5 compression, an rv cam, and headers. It's got an Edelbrock Performer 2-0 manifold, will it even fit? If so, would this carb work fairly well for my soon to be daily driver 454?

Thanks guys!

I ran that same carb on a 468 that I had in my 78 Malibu. Was a pretty potent motor, 540 horses and it ran good. Had really good throttle response...

Just need to check if the intake is square bore (Q-jet style) or spread bore (Holley style) mounting pattern.

I think you have those two backwards.

The Q-jet is a spread bore which Holley makes spread bore replacements for and then there are Holley are square which are some of the more "after market" carbs.

I run the original 3310-1 carb on my bbc 402. It works very well after some specific tuning.

Is the one you have machanice secondary? I think that was the major change in the two. The newer model is vaccum. I think. It's been a long time since I work in after market parts. How long ago did Super Shops go out of business? I've been in the Army for 21 years and It was about 2 years before that.

It's a standard vacuum secondary carburetor, the only difference between -1 and the newer models is a rear metering block vs. plate. Here are some mods to consider, I run vent bowl whistles, spring loaded needles and have extended the float vents a bit.

I ran one of the older 3310 models on a 455 Olds in a '67 442 and Holley rated them at 780 cfm and a few years ago I put one on a 427 Chevy tall deck that I put in a Ford F-600 and that one was rated at 750 cfm. Both were vacuum secondaries and a couple other minor changes.
