Anyone familiar with them?

I have a chance to pick up a free Holley #9022, the model number says it’s a marine 800cfm double pumper. The carb is discontinued by Holley but kits and parts are readily available. Is it worth using (vs a street unit)? Anything weird about marine units to be cautious of?

I’ve been looking at 850’s (both regular and HP series), I want to try a mechanical secondary carb to see if it wakes up the truck some, the qjet works great but it’s a little lazy. :zombie18: I want it to be a bit more frisky. :burnout:

EFI is out of the question so don’t even… :flipoff7:

don't see too many holleys.. he!!, out of 200+ boats in my marina, I'm prolly down to 20 with carbs.... mostly quads, but some carter versions from merc, etc... got one with top loader holleys on a pair of Crusader BB's......

sure, it's runable on the street... other than possible wrong jetting, power valve #'s, etc... the dif in a marine carb is they will generally have J-tubes for the bowl vent for safety...

Awesome, this one needs a rebuild so jet and power valve changes aren’t an issue. Thanks!
