will this pump work ok on an 89 with TBI?
how imprtant is it to mount it verticly?
You need to run a holley blue pump. The blus pump is 12 psi. You need at least 9 psi to run TBI. The pump has to be mounted vertically.
no, you would have to run the blue pump. But i would just use an inline style pump. The holley red and blue pumps are both prone to leaking. They were not designed for constant running. They are "race" style pumps. designed for short use. Holley makes a inline pump that works well with TBI systems. (as it was designed for their TBI system.) Part #512-101. this is a 360lb/hr 15psi gerotor self priming pump. It can easily be mounted on the frame rail. This would the best to use of the three. I don't know what current retail price is though.
I would like to have that to run my dual quad set up.
