the chevy love tap. i have the same problem. just give it a few pounds with the fist around the latch and it should pop up. if not, get a pry bar and do what the other posts said.

I like the tap on the hood! Closing the door as I get out to go see why the hood didn't pop does the trick for me - but from now on I'll leave the door open so I get to do the love tap...
Why does WD-40 make locks stick? Isn't it supposed to be the fix-all, lube-all spray? I used bearing grease since I had a tub handy.

It worked! I just smacked the hood where the spring underneath is and it popped right up! I then bought some nice $1.99 lithium grease and now it pops open with no problems. Thanks a ton guys!MuddQueenK5 said:

Lmao. Mine is a combination lock hood. Pull the handle and tap it 3 times exactly in the center front. Anywhere else, it wont work. Only 2 taps, wont work. It hasta be exactly 3 taps err pounds =). Hit it too lightly wont open, hit it a lil off center wont open. I thought about fixing it.... it just would'nt be the same. The sticky hood is part of the little things we love about these trucks! If i wanted a perfectly working truck I'd buy new =).

Yes, finally startin to cool off.Gettin 58ish nights and mid 80's days. =). Perfect weather. Not too hot during the day and cool and crisp at night! mosquito's are leaving now too. Let me know next time you comin this way. Allways a cold beer (budwieser or root, your choice) for a fellow also owned by a blazer =).
