Thanks I really like the truck it's almost like the truck from the Fallguy (it was a 80's GMC though)

Man I loved the Fallguy when I was a kid. Do they ever show it on tv anymore?

I'm adding a poll for tire sizes too.

My K5 has been a semi-DD for a few years now but was my DD for a few years prior to the recent few years.

When I DD'ed it exclusively it had 32" tires. For the past few semi-DD years it has had 35" and now 37" tires.

From 2002-may 2005 my K5 shared DD duty with my CJ5 Jeep (whichever one ran I drove:D ). The K5 had 35" tires then.

May 2005-Nov 2005 the K5 was my sole DD with 37" tires. In November 2005 I bought my towrig (Dodge CTD).

Last month the K5 was again my DD when the towrig was in the shop. Now the K5 is in my garage where it only sees road action to keep the fluids moving and when it goes four wheeling. I could pull it out of the garage and DD it again tomorrow though if I needed to.

'74 has 33"x12.5"x15"... '78 has 35"x12.5"x15" it depends which one I want to drive that day...

I DD mine almost every weekday. It drove a little "loose" (even for a K5) when I bought it, but putting in new shocks & stabilizer, changing the sway bar bushings to poly, adjusting the steering box preload (the proper way), getting rid of the rag joint, and installing the bolt-on steering brace really stamped out the excessive slop. The factory headlights were pitiful, but the Hella headlight/wiring relays upgrade fixed that up, so driving at night is no longer an exercise in cataract simulation.

I might switch out the leaf spring bushings to poly also just for the hell of it, just to get things feeling a little tighter. I'll have to do some tires this year, and I might do a 3/4-ton (14FF/D44) axle swap and the requisite wheel change at the same time.

Since I'll change wheels to 8-luggers if I do the axle swap  I'm thinking about tires of a similar diameter (31-inch), but on 17-inch steelies (vs the current 15-inchers). That would get rid of some sidewall flex. It's just a street and fishing/hunting truck anyway, so shorter sidewalls wouldn't be a drawback, and less wallowing never hurts on the pavement.

Mine has been a DD since I got it. Only time it stays home is when I need sheetrock. Its all stock, except for the HEI dist.

This Was My DD (it will be again soon I hope) 75 K-10 377cid De-stroker Vortec Heads ,Crane Energizer cam 272dur .454lift,1.6 rockers-roller tip , RPM airgap intake,Full MSD ignition,JET performance Q-jet,4"x14" K&N, Hooker super Comps, 2.5" pipes with 12" Glasspacks (ghetto I know) , Dana44/12Bolt with Detroit/Auburn and 4.56's,TCI 700r-4 with a 1800stall/lockup converter ,NP 241c ,A/C,Cruise,2" body lift,2.5"Suspension lift, 35" BFG AT's
With this setup I knocked down a solid 17mpg Hwy and had tons of power . On one trip to Houston it got nearly 20mpg running 80mph
The truck is currently undergoing a Full frame off . to Include , LT1 TPI,(with a possible Procharger) NV4500/241d combo , Filled-smoothed-and painted frame, Suburban fueltank, Aluminum diamond plate bed floor, 35" Goodear MTR's, and new drivelines .
I'm hoping it will get as good of Mileage as before and it should be more fun to drive with the NV4500

(I'm a little partial to step sides)

Any more pictures of it? Should be flipin sweet when you are done with it :D

I dd the shop truck. 35's flipped, disced, b52'd, crossed and high, welded rear, inboarded shocks, ford towers, and beat to death. It will soon be replaced by the Crew cab at which time it will be parted and scrapped. She's been a good truck and its almost time to let her rest.
