My 86 K10 truck has a 2 1/2" Rancho Suspension lift and i was wondering if i did a rear shackle flip and a front shackle drop how much more flex will that give me? Also will i have to put shims in the front if i drop the shackles down?

Quite a bit more in the rear.
How much are you looking to "drop" the front shackle? An extended shackle will let the spring move more, and probably not need shims.

go with greasable bushings too. They make a very big difference on most trucks with good springs or a flip.
