its got 350 465 205 and its has 456's with 33s! i bet it halls ass but how would that drive on the highway?
My intentions for the truck would be to keep it very stock with maybe 37s on six inches or so. no dings or dents but i will get it muddy.
heres what he said:
I saw this truck sitting out in some weeds just outside of Thorndale, TX. Put a battery on it and it started. I took it to a tractor pull in Priddy, TX where me and my friends expected to blow it up. Out of 20 trucks it got second place. I decided it wanted to live. From there I took it to the auto department at the High School in Brownwood where they made a project truck out of it and went through the 4 wheel drive and the engine. Yes it is fuel injected. From there I had new exhaust and echo chambers put on it. High School did new headers. Had it repainted in Goldthwaite. Brought it back to Georgetown. Had the transmission gone through at Interstate Transmission and all they had to do was put a new seal kit and new yokes in. From there the truck has been solid. After that I started with windshield wiper motor, water pump, shocks, all lights, headliner, window motor, power steering pump, etc. Does not have a tach. The engine is new, I still have the paper work from the previous owner. I think it has about 15k miles on the new engine now. And just the other day I had to go and put brand new tires on it. BF Goodrich A/T's and I took the 35's off and put 33's on. Looks better to me. Only thing that I know is wrong is one window is slow going and the dip stick is broken off. I just put 5 1/2 quarts in every month or two. I have the new dipstick but I have to drop the pan to get the old broken piece off and haven't done it yet. Horn is finicky. Plus put its first gooseneck hitch in and wired the lights. after all it is a 1-ton.
Like I say, I love this truck but I like my dually better. And I want my garage back.
