what is the best way to break in my motor
i dunno...go find a country road and let loose! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Run it at around 1500 to 2000 rpm for 15 to 20 min. Change the oil and take it easy for 500 miles. Change the oil again. And you should be OK. Dont drag race it for a few thousand miles and that should do it.
If you already broke in the cam then take it easy for 500 miles. Don't go faster than 55 or 60 and don't drive at a certian speed for to long. After 500 miles change the oil and let'er loose.
the hard part is taking it easy for the break in. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I agree looks like some good advice
Thats a good point. The initial running before driving is for the cam.
