I cannot weld nor do I have a welder or acces to someone can or does.
So, how hard and roughly how much or how crucial is it to get this fixed?

I have my truck listed on offer-up to see what it may generate. and the big draw back for the $$ listed and or offered is the few marks I have of water damage. Driver side floor pan does need replacement eventually as well.

just buy a replacement fender.. the rocker on the other hand. ya need some stuff...

Both? Aftermarket or? What's best

well.. fender, clean used OEM is best.. that's the way i tend to go if I can.. aftermarket.... AMD, Keystone, etc may not be perfect, but cheap enough..

rocker? meh, ya need to weld bud.. ;) the panel is stooopid cheap...

We'll see about fenders local. Rockers well, it can wait. I may be working a deal to trade for a 76' k20 longbed.

I know. Just hard to work in the time. Let alone buy a welder etc.

Since mine is 78 what year front fenders work? 73-79?

Decent. Check at the mounting points for cracks

He has more sets, so it looks like I'm driving out to his place Thursday to take a look around...

Definitely exactly what you're looking for. Unfocked OE fenders, not repops.

I've been browsing around on how to remove these fenders and found nothing in regards to 73-80. All I've found is 81-87 fender removal. Is it the same as 81 and on?

Do the inner fenders come off first?

Also, I've seen it long debated. Wheel, and offset etc are deciding factors.

Will these new fenders rub? Is there a way to check before removing the old fenders?

I'm not opposed to some trimming, but would for sure do a better job than what's done on the truck now.
