so I purchased a set of cheepy wheel dollies thinking my smooth painted concrete shop floor would be fine and play nice with them . . . . . :haha::haha::haha:

so I set a rolling frame and body k30 up on them . no drive line just axles / frame / springs / body panels .

started to push it around the shop didn't even make it 1 foot and 1 of the dollies bent were the wheel bolts to the main plate . :angry1:

so I swapped them with 2 others I had that were a tad thicker and finished the move of the truck in the shop .

today I grabbed some 3/4"x3/4" angle I had and cut 2 lengths 1 for each end to pick up the 2 outer most bolt holes . drilled for them and added a 5th in the center .

now I picked up the rf corner and watched a un-modified unit flex back to normal with weight being removed . then I set the modified unit under and set it back down on it and :eek1: it didn't flex and squat like a pair of buckling knee's ready to fall out from under its self .

now I just need to do 3 more and pick up some extra bolts for the center 5th hole and then re-test the use in the shop and see what happens.

also before I even used them I removed the wheel axle bolt and tube and greased them good to help in rolling around . and A LOT LESS SQUEAKING ! ! !

finished the other 3 today .

here is a pic of 1 side bolted tight with 2 bolts . this is the other end loose and no middle 5th bolt yet . WOW  and this was a non bent wheel area unit .

so before it was all my buddy and I could do to get it to start to swing around the back end . less than 1 foot the first wheel area of the plate bend around 30* from factory stamping shape .

now you set a front end on one of these and watch the caster wheels STAY put and not flex the main body plate by 10-15* from factory shape.

so I gave it the test and 1 hand with basic effort I was able to swing the rear of the truck sideways 2-3foot by my self .

I will try this for now and report back later after some more use over the cold season .
