I did a search and found some dude's Chevy pages. I have never seen a 60, and in searching for a 1-ton, I want to make sure it's a 60, and that someone did not snatch it already and replace it w a 44. Diff cover bolt pattern looks the same w same number of bolts.

Was thinking the boss will be stamped w a "60" like my 44 is stamped. Any other clues ?

bolt heads for the cover are 9/16, and there is only 3 u-bolts, where the 4th u bolt would be there is 2 bolts that thread into the housing.

What does a king pin look like?

Just look for 4 bolts holding the steering arm on on the driverside and 4 bolts holding a cover on the passenger side and also 4 bolts holding a lower plate on each knuckle.

Looks like this:

Bad pic, but that is a kingpin knuckle. Look at your 44, that is a ball joint knuckle.
